Indie Craft Experience, based in Atlanta, focuses on providing an opportunity to craft and vintage sellers, as well as educating shoppers on why they should buy handcrafted. I'm so excited they have brought their venture to Chattanooga for this holiday event!

Introducing, the Antique Oar

This paddle-inspired necklace has become a fast favorite! The organic oar shape of the pendant is hand-formed from sterling silver wire that is then oxidized, and the whole piece is adorned with a small stripe of gold filled hammered wire.

Our friend Michael over at Inspired by Charm captured this whimsy perfectly in his lovely DIY oar art. We're in love with this throwback to the warm days of summers past and cool nights on the beach!

Rose gold achieves its subtle pink hue by adding a bit of copper to yellow gold. "Filled" refers to the process of permanently bonding gold to jeweler's brass – it keeps the look and characteristics of solid gold but at a fraction of the price. It will not flake off, and it won't turn your skin green because it is nickel free and safe for sensitive skin!

Join us for a Happy Hour with Eli Mason at Atlanta Gift Market

In case you've missed it, this year marks the 10th anniversary of my little jewelry company. Freshie & Zero has come a long way since I started it on my living room couch – I now rent a studio in a historic renovated warehouse downtown Nashville. Instead of just myself (and sometimes my husband) creating the jewelry, I have four employees and an intern. Woo!

I definitely couldn't have done it without all of the support from my friends and customers over the years! So, thank you (especially if you're the blog reading type!).

It's now time for our bi-annual trek to the Atlanta Gift Market, so we're bringing the party with us to raise a glass with our fabulous retailers. I'm not only super excited to debut our larger, redesigned booth, I'm also pumped to have fellow Nashvillian Eli Mason join us for a cocktail party! He will be pouring a signature drink for us – the Gin Garden. Yum. Yum.

If you're at the Mart, visit us in building 3 on Saturday, July 16, from 4-6 pm. We even had cute cocktail stirrers and cocktail napkins printed up for this very occasion. I mean, can you even?

But seriously, there's more. Also during the cocktail hour, we'll be giving away wholesale vouchers (deals!), our limited edition screen printed tote bags (and they'll probably have a bottle of Eli Mason syrup in them), free jewelry and other fun surprises, too. You won't want to miss it!

Come visit us during our Studio Open House

There's nothing quite like seeing handmade gifts in person, is there? Sure, there are scores of them on Etsy and you can find a fine selection in stores, but there is just something about getting to meet the face (and hands) of the person who made it! Come for a rare studio open house during the WeHo Holiday Market and see the space (and shop the goods) where the Freshie & Zero magic happens!

Track One is hosting the inaugural Nashville event for the WeHo Holiday Market & Art Crawl, which will be held Dec. 5-6. (WeHo is the nickname of our Wedgewood Houston neighborhood.) The event is a neighborhood celebration with crafts, music, and art. 

This event just happens to be in the building housing my studio, so we will be opening our doors for the occasion! Be sure to walk around the entire Track One building while you're shopping the market and see what the other tenants have to offer (ranging from haircuts to workouts to growler fills!).

In Case You Missed It!

So MUCH has been going on with Freshie & Zero this past month - it's been the proverbial whirlwind! In case you've missed our social media updates, here are the April highlights.

1. Happy 8th Birthday to us! We hosted three giveaways throughout the month of April to celebrate our birthday and now three lucky ladies have claimed their prizes!

2. We were featured on Etsy's Wholesale Blog as part of the upcoming Signature Mix show in New York! You can see the "Meet the Vendor" article on us here.
